When it comes to anxiety, physical symptoms can be just as disturbing as the psychological symptoms. They may come on very suddenly, sometimes without any reason.
With anxiety, physical symptoms may include:
- Shortness of breath,
- Hot flushes,
- Sweating,
- Heart beating irregularly,
- Chills,
- Trembling,
- Dizziness,
- Nausea,
- Chest Pain,
- Faint Feeling,
- Pins and needles,
- Dry mouth,
- Need to go to the toilet,
- Churning stomach,
- Tingling in feelings,
- And more.
One thing that all of these physical symptoms have in common is that they feel unpleasant, and are accompanied by anxious thoughts and feelings of fear. This is why many people who have a panic disorder may start to fear panic attacks, and it’s a vicious circle.
