When it comes to anxiety, physical symptoms can be just as disturbing as the psychological symptoms. They may come on very suddenly, sometimes without any reason.
With anxiety, physical symptoms may include:
- Shortness of breath,
- Hot flushes,
- Sweating,
- Heart beating irregularly,
- Chills,
- Trembling,
- Dizziness,
- Nausea,
- Chest Pain,
- Faint Feeling,
- Pins and needles,
- Dry mouth,
- Need to go to the toilet,
- Churning stomach,
- Tingling in feelings,
- And more.
One thing that all of these physical symptoms have in common is that they feel unpleasant, and are accompanied by anxious thoughts and feelings of fear. This is why many people who have a panic disorder may start to fear panic attacks, and it’s a vicious circle.

It is not unheard of that a person, even you, would start suffering severe stomach pains, feels nauseated, and your breathing becomes labored, all this happens shortly before you and your friends embark on a cruise to the Bahamas that you have been eagerly waiting for. You rush to the hospital, only to be told that all the discomfort you experienced was one big day dream since there is absolutely nothing wrong with you.
The disappointment you are experiencing as you leave the hospital is unsurpassed. You not only have a huge dent in your wallet due to this unplanned spending but you were also left behind because by departure time you were otherwise indisposed. This is just one of the many instances that you have experienced panic attacks. However, of late they are beginning to get more frequent and outrageous. You are ready to throw in the towel. You resign yourself to the fact that you will suffer this fits for the rest of your life.

Anxiety is a path everyone must walk through. It is anyway possible to deal with anxiety and get on with life. Not everyone finds this easy though as anxiety wells up over time and ends up in an undesired panic attack.
Doctors are then sought after to help those suffering panic attacks and sadly, they don’t perform well on this. Many cases exist where a patient was simply given over-the-counter remedial medication to tone down the anxiety or just referred to a psychiatrist. No wonder the panic attacks, which were once thought to have been dealt with, emerge once again to wreak havoc. This is simply because the measures initially taken merely postponed rather than treated the attacks.
